- Consider this a little care package, sent to you all the way from Missoula, Montana, home of the University of Montana Fighting Grizzlies. OK, so I made up the Fighting part, but it sounded good right?
- It seems like forever since I've posted around this joint so I figured I'd send some love from Montana to try to get some little bit of momentum going.
- I've been busy, what with the baby and the album release and the Our Manager Doesn't Own a Globe Tour. I also have a bunch of stuff I want to talk about around here, but haven't had the time.
- Oh yeah, the baby. Did I tell you we had a baby? My beautiful wife Stephanie gave birth (with the assistance of some medical technology!) to a beautiful baby girl named Katherine Marlow. I'll do a "we had a baby" post soon, but check out the wife's blog for more details (and some cute pictures!)
- I read Picnic at Hanging Rock the other day. Very subtle, subliminal, slightly creepy, kind of gets under your skin in a good way. Think E.M. Forster meets Charles Frazier meets, I don't know, M. Night Shamalama dude. I'll try to get a full review going around here.
- The Summer Reading Club is winding down! Only 2 more weeks or so until you have to put your books down and we do some kind of statistical analysis and give out a couple of prizes. Oh, dang. I gotta figure out what those prizes are.
- Skribit - keep on using that little Skribit box over there to the right. I think it's cool as junk and I intend to use it both here and on the Third Day blog to try and get closer to the sweet spot as far as content goes.
- Facebook - i have like 150 unanswered FB requests and like 35 messages in my inbox. Facebook is cool, don't get me wrong, but it's starting to feel like another email account that I have to check...
- Twitter - Twitter, on the other hand, pretty much rules. I wish they made it easier to find people. And I wish it didn't crash multiple times in a given day. But it is the one online app that has changed my online experience more than any other. If you don't already follow me, I'm "marklee3d" on Twitter...
That's probably good for now. I will try and get a little more regular around here. Wait, that kind of sounded like a Doxidan commercial. You know, when nature needs a helping hand.
OK, on that note, peace...
Congratulations on the baby! Awesomeness, is what that is.

Read this in my devotional today and it's so beautiful I had to share it :)
"Glory be to God who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we could ever dare to ask or even dream of." - Eph 3:20

Hey Mark I see you've been quite busy, so I'll fogive the lack of SRC posts. Life gets in the way doesn't it?
Twitter most definitely rules, but I still think you have too much time on your hands to be posting updates often as you do. If you'd like to add me on Twitter, however, my name is GennaGirl.
You have a beautiful family but I'm sure you already know this. :D

Mark - [Twitter rules!] I'm a friend of Jvo's - was part of the band at Westwinds with him before two preemies and "life" came along. (Congrats on your new one, btw!)
Been following you on Twitter all summer, and really have enjoyed your twits! (particularly while in LA, earthquake, Leno, et al - I used to live there.) Wanted to reach out to you before your gig in Michigan this weekend - Saturday, Aug 8. I'll be at the show & would love to meet up with you if possible. Maybe bring back a can of Crunk for Johnny!
If you care to follow me, I am "Schlomoson" on Twitter.
blessings to you
btw, Weather will be mid-70's - day of show & right on Lake Michigan!

Wow, still running on the Kingdom Bound/Revelation high and have been clicking around the 3D site, and found this via your Twitter. I thought I had read something somewhere about a new 3D baby, congrats! Though I'm sure it's not so great to be away now, sounds like Katherine wanted to get out before Street Week kicked into full gear! Our prayers of joy go out for you!

You can mass delete the requests, but honestly, it only takes 20 minutes top go through a hundred and fifty of them, and 35 inbox messages in't that bad. check it while you're on a plane o something.

Doxidan, huh?
Thanks Mark, I needed that smile this morning. Catching up and realized that I missed you guys at Kingdom Bound - they didn't do a very good advertising job around these parts because I found out about it through the Third Day site the day you guys were here...too late to get tickets and arrange time for it. Darien Lake's just over an hour from here so we might could have made it with some planning.
On the bright side (?) I got an email this morning saying my "pre-ordered" copy of Revelations is being shipped...so back to stalking the mail man!
Oh - and Kelly, I finished the Shack yesterday. Couldn't put the thing down...and yes, it was AWESOME. I'm going to see if I can't pick up a few more copies today as early Christmas gifts to some family and friends who I think might really be able to heal from it.

BTW - I am not on your Tumblers list WHY?? ;o) lol http://emmos-place.tumblr.com
Have a good one - be safe.

In reference to #6: Yes. I am still waiting for my prize. Just teasing. I think #3, #4 and #9 have been keeping you PLENTY busy. But hey here's a deal! Answer my trivia question here:
http://dawngwtw.tumblr.com/post/42838706/trivia-question-from-tropicana-field-last-night
(since you are a baseball fan) and win the prize and then you can send it back to me as my prize!

Did you mention you had a baby? Did you even mention you were expecting one. Wow, that was quick. LOL Either that, or I missed something, which isn't at all unlikely.
At any rate, CONGRATULATIONS!! to you both. :)
I'm on Twitter, and haven't even attempted to figure it out, but it sure is amazing how many people are "following" me doing nothing. Now I have to figure out the Skribit thing.
I'm trying to get through books, but I need to stay in one place long enough. I am on my third or fourth, about halfway through. I hope to finish it this week. I don't think I'm winning any prizes, though. LOL
I have a friend in Montana. There was talk of her going to see you. I have to wait until Sept. and commute.
Anyway, going to look at baby pics now. I love baby pics. :)
Congrats again, and God's blessings,

Could you guys try working in other gestures in your photos besides the "thumbs up?" That's all you ever do.

Awwww how sweet! Here's a little "care package" in return :)
1. Definitely sounds better than the Mighty Fighting Unicorns! *hangs head in shame*
2. It HAS seemed like forever since you've posted here! Good to see you back!
3. Congrats on the baby, the album rocks, hope the OMDOG tour's going well, and isn't it funny how when we have all the free time in the world, we have nothing to talk about, but when we've got tons of blogworthy stuff going on, we don't have time to talk about it?
4. Again, congrats on the baby! I've been checking Steph's blog and never saw the pics...have to hunt those down!
5. I haven't read anything in a while and in fact, I've sorta been on a two week SRC hiatus! I need to get back!
6. I got a new book yesterday...pretty popular around the SRC - The Shack. Love it so far!
7. Will do.
8. Facebook is SOOOO annoying these days, but we did get an AWESOME new Gomer Gift app! :)
9. Twitter does rule! The fail whale does not! And you still need to follow a few of us Gomers that you've left behind! :p

Welcome back! I've missed you...wait...I get all your tweets...had to buy a new text message plan just to afford it so no I haven't missed you at all! ;)
Congrats to you and Stephanie and Abbie! What a beautiful baby!!!
Still reading...will post soon.
Have a great time in Montana!

Have a great show in Missoula. Just checking the tour schedule, that looks like about the closest you're going to get to the Pacific Northwest for a while! I was hoping to catch you guys in Portland or Spokane or somewhere like that soon...Oh well, I'll keep checking the band's site for updates.

We watched 'picnic at hanging rock' at school. It's one of Peter Weir's first movies and does an excellent job of translating the eerieness of the book. It leaves you quite unsettled.
My old youth pastors went to Hanging Rock for their honeymoon...
