Not the burger joint. Me. I just wanted to check in and say that I'm still alive. I've been in Florida on vacation for the last week and have taken an unintentional - albeit much needed - tech fast. Until I get more time to do a real post, here are a couple of things that have been rattling around in my cranium:
- Madeleine L'Engle: I, like many people was saddened to hear of her passing. She possessed one of those minds who was out there in front of all of the rest of us, dreaming up questions we didn't even know we had. She will be sorely missed. I think the fact that she remains so controversial in church circles is a testament to this. If you've never read any of her works, you can't go wrong with A Wrinkle in Time, although I'm a huge fan of her nonfiction as well.
- The War of Art: I found an audio copy of Steven Pressfield's soon-to-be classic in the library, and I've probably listened to it four times now. Yes, Pressfield uses words like s**t quite a bit, but he's about the only voice in the creativity genre who isn't full of it.
I'll be back.

Well, good to hear from you. My pastor would dearly love to hear from the burger joint, though. I think he wants to hear them say, "yes we are putting an In-N-Out in Northern UT. LOL
I was going to suggest "A Wrinkle In Time" for the book club, but I think I recall seeing it was already done before I "signed" on? Not sure. It will be added to my list. I recall you posting about her writings before. It's a good thing to think. God says to come and reason with him.
As for the "full of it" remark... I'm just shocked! ;) (JK, really.) LOL
Have a great week.
