After having so much fun last week with "soundalike songs" and rock music formulas, I had to share with you a link to Speakergeek's Bon Jovi formula post. Funny stuff.
For the record, I've always kind of liked Bon Jovi (I even went to their Atlanta show last year), so you can save the hate for later. And on a certain level, formulas are a good thing. You want to be able to sing along with a chorus, right? If not, people like Van Dyke Parks would rule the world...

We just drove by the Barnes & Noble in the mall across from Cal Expo, and I just had to wonder if you had stopped in. ;) LOL
This has nothing much to do with the blog. I usually don't post this sort of thing, but, what the hey? LOL

Well, I like a song with a good hook, and most songs are about relationships, but the site was entertaining. :) I'm not saying that as someone that adores Bon Jovi or hates him either one. I think I missed half the 80's. LOL
BTW, Mark. Well see ya Tuesday at Cal Expo. I don't know if you'll see me, but I guess I'll be seeing you... row G section B.

"Wanted Dead or Alive:" First song I ever learned to play all the way through on guitar.
Just sayin'.
They write hooky songs. You can't beat that.

I had a customer 2 weeks ago in my shop (Word Bookstore) who tried to convince me that Bon Jovi was a Christian band...

Thanks for the link Mark. I should make it known that at an earlier point in my life, i was quite a big Bon Jovi fan.... I also think 'Wanted Dead or Alive' is one of the best choices for a great Karaoke song - right behind Kenny Rogers 'The Gambler'.
