I just got home from Nashville, where I did the GMA hang, the GMA Dove Awards, and then the Country Music 1/2 Marathon. It was a fun race - probably one of my most fun ever. The course was definitely hillier than other longer races I've done, but the weather was perfect. Being a musician, it was pretty cool (and a tad surreal) running down Music Row and seeing offices of people I work with. Stephanie and I both set personal records (she ran it in 3:04 and I logged a 2:54), but it was more about the music and the crowd and the fun.
Today we grabbed a copy of the Tennessean and looked at the results. It was amazing to see just how many of our friends ran the race yesterday. Congrats to Glenn Lavender for his amazing Babe Ruth-esque race prediction, not to mention the killer time. Almost all of the downhere guys ran the marathon, and Randy did the half, as well as some of our church friends from Nashville and even some Atlanta friends who had driven up.
As always, I've got a bunch of stories from the past week I'd love to share, but I have negative time to tell them. I'll literally be home for 4 hours before I leave for the Music Boat Cruise. Look for updates here or at the Third Day Blog.
