Today I go to my email inbox, and there's this email from a guy who claims he only has a few months to live. He wants to give all of his $12 M estate away, but is too weak to do so. He offers me 10% of the estate for my trouble.
Also in my inbox was a similar letter, only this time it's a guy in the U.K. with "Oesophageal cancer" and $18 million. Has lightning struck? This just sounds too good to be true.
THEN, I come home this evening and find TWO MORE letters in my inbox. One is from a poor banker in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso who has an unclaimed estate worth $27.5 million from someone who died in a plane crash. Since no next of kin can be located, he's offering me 40% of this fortune so he doesn't have "file it as an unclaimed bill".
Finally, I received a letter from a woman in Nigeria who needs help managing her late husband's $12.8 million estate and will give me 20% for my assistance.
Well, looks like I won't be posting much tomorrow, as I've got a lot of estate planning to do. And a plane to purchase. And maybe a yacht. But to make you guys feel better, maybe I can buy everyone a laptop to make your blog life a little easier.
(I hope your picking up on the sarcasm. The sad thing is that there are a few people who will be taken by this nonsense.)
